Dreaming big has never been a problem for Roche Bobois, a world-leading brand in French design and furniture. Famous for creating unique, original, and exclusive experiences, Roche Bobois always places quality, customization, and sustainability at the heart of its products. But what happens when this innovative spirit meets the visionary creativity of visual artist Joana Vasconcelos and the need to complete a project in record time? The answer is simple: it’s called Cama52.

Let’s take a step back: just one month before Salone del Mobile in Milan—the quintessential design event—we were commissioned to bring to life a project created by Portuguese designer Vasconcelos for Roche Bobois. The challenge was twofold: to execute a complex, highly creative installation within an incredibly short timeframe. A race against time that we tackled with enthusiasm and dedication!

The project concept was ambitious and extraordinary, typical of Vasconcelos’ creativity, known for her exceptional visionary and refined installations. Roche Bobois had commissioned a series of materials to recreate a Saint-Tropez-style installation: golden beaches, Mediterranean succulent plants, and lush green and turquoise landscapes.

Our experience in creating exhibition stands allowed us to confidently handle all the complex requirements. For example, sourcing enormous cacti just days before the event, or repainting the exterior walls of the stand in the exact green chosen for the interior wallpaper.

The result? Incredible. Not only did we meet the tight deadlines and bring the creative project to life, but we also achieved significant success in terms of client satisfaction and visitor turnout. The installation, thanks to Vasconcelos’ bold vision and our dedication to every detail, provided a unique experience for Design Week visitors.

The secret to success? Maintaining constant communication with the client before, during, and after assembly to ensure the project’s flawless execution.
