Exhibitory Versatility: Gefran’s Modular System for National and International Trade Fairs

For the 2025 edition of SPS Italia—one of the key events for automation and smart industry—Gefran Spa entrusted Cama52 with the creation of its exhibition space. A project defined by versatility, logistical optimization, and on-site adaptability, which highlighted not only the quality of the solutions presented but also the responsiveness and efficiency of the execution phase.

An Exhibition System Designed to Last

The client’s main request was to design a modular and reusable stand to be used at multiple trade fairs throughout the year. The design response took shape in the creation of interchangeable and combinable vertical panels, fully customized according to the client’s exhibition needs.
Each panel was designed to display Gefran products in an orderly way that aligns with the company’s visual identity, thanks to graphic film cladding and a fast, secure assembly system with interlocking frames. This solution allows for easy disassembly and reassembly, making the stand easily reusable in different contexts while providing a tangible advantage in terms of time, costs, and logistical management.

The importance of flexibility during assembly

As often happens at trade show events, even with meticulous planning it’s essential to be able to adapt to last-minute requests. On the day before the opening of SPS, Gefran asked to reposition the suspended banner with its logo so that it would face the aisle with the highest foot traffic, ensuring more immediate visibility for passing visitors.

The Cama52 team responded promptly by redistributing the wooden and graphic elements of the suspended installation, quickly redesigning the visual balance of the structure. The intervention was carried out in a tight timeframe but with the utmost care, allowing the client to gain greater visibility without compromising the aesthetic and functional coherence of the stand.

A collaboration based on practicality and efficiency

The project carried out for Gefran represents an example of efficient collaboration between client and supplier, where exhibition needs were met with practical, customized, and durable technical solutions. Cama52 was able to translate not only the brand’s values into a physical space but also the increasingly important need to design with flexible, sustainable, and scalable principles.

International expansion: the stand at k-show düsseldorf

Confirming the efficiency of Cama52 and the success of the project launched in Parma, Gefran replicated the same exhibition concept at K-Show, the world’s leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry, held in Düsseldorf.

In this context, the audience is much more international, with high foot traffic and visitors from diverse sectors. This requires stands that can communicate immediately, manage higher visitor volumes, and adapt to a global-scale trade fair environment.

The stand designed for Gefran had to address not only a different exhibition area but also a trade fair context with more complex requirements in terms of scale, visibility, and user experience.

Implementation of the modular concept

The principle of “flexibility, sustainability, and scalability” was maintained: the modular structure created for SPS was successfully adapted to the K-Show layout. In this way, the project born in Parma became an exhibition platform suitable for different markets and exhibition spaces.

Specific challenge: extruder display

In Düsseldorf, Gefran faced the challenge of exhibiting a particularly heavy and not immediately “photogenic” extruder, which, however, included an innovative component deserving of visibility. The request was to find an effective display solution: a showcase was chosen, carefully designed in terms of thickness and the distribution of the cube platform, within which the extruder was displayed in operation and the key component was clearly highlighted.

Result and Validation

The success of the stand in Düsseldorf confirmed that the design model—modular, reusable, and adaptable—is not only effective for a national event but also works on an international scale. For Gefran, it was concrete proof that investing in design modularity and rapid execution delivers tangible results even in different contexts and markets.
